Tape Jam: Korg Minilogue synth, Teenage Engineering Robot, Ableton Link, Kaossilator Ipad

Being Big Fans of Equipment, we got some new gear featured at this years NAMM. We decided it would be fun to make a live jam showcasing our purchases, and run it to my Fostex E16, half inch 16 track tape machine, to give it a little extra flavor. Even with Electronic style music, too clean lacks personality. The Equipment we are using is the Korg Minilogue, which is a new 4 voice analog synth, Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator Robot, two Macbooks running Ableton Live 9.6 using link, and a Ikaossilator connected via Link as well. The Control Surfaces for Ableton are Ableton Push 2, and Akai APC Mini. As you can probably tell by the video, Link is such a fun way to play electronic music with others, by connecting to their ios or computer devices, leading to great impromptu jams. We came up with this jam and had a few parts fairly quickly then decided to run our jam to tape, to give a nice live performance feel. This music was performed by Afrodjmac, and Mike Longo.
